Black Knight’s Rich Gagliano Named HousingWire Vanguard Award Winner

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Dec. 3, 2020 – Black Knight, Inc. (NYSE:BKI), a leading provider of integrated software, data and analytics to the mortgage and real estate industries, announced today that Rich Gagliano, President of Black Knight Origination Technologies, was named one of HousingWire’s 2020 Vanguard Award winners. This prestigious honor is given to executives in the housing finance industry for vital contributions to their respective companies and in recognition of the dynamic ways they are helping to shape the industry.

Gagliano is responsible for the direction of Black Knight’s Origination Technologies business, including the company’s loan origination system for retail, wholesale, consumer-direct, home equity and correspondent lending channels; lead management, point-of-sale and loan officer solutions; artificial intelligence and machine learning; eClosing platform; fee service to support loan estimate and closing disclosure data; enterprise business intelligence platform; and multiple solutions to facilitate digital connectivity and online collaboration.

Most recently, Gagliano helped lead a unique approach for implementing the Empower loan origination system to support mid-market lenders with their origination operations. The solution, which was built based on the industry’s most common lending practices for retail lending, can help lenders streamline processes and support regulatory compliance. Gagliano also led Black Knight in launching new solutions outside of the core loan origination system to help lenders better serve their customers, increase productivity and comply with regulatory requirements.

“Rich is a credit to not only Black Knight, but also to the mortgage technology industry at large,” said Black Knight CEO Anthony Jabbour. “His relentless pursuit of excellence on behalf of our clients  is an asset to Black Knight and our clients. He is deserving of this recognition for his innovative vision, strong leadership and commitment to furthering the industry.”

Winners of the annual award are carefully selected by HousingWire’s editorial board based on their accomplishments over the previous year.

“The achievements of this year’s Vanguards are hard to overstate. They are leading some of the most iconic and successful mortgage and real estate companies in the world and adapting and innovating even during a global pandemic. The Vanguards represent the industry’s best and brightest, and we are excited to celebrate their remarkable accomplishments,” said HousingWire Editor in Chief Sarah Wheeler.
