2019 Community Annual Report

Black Knight is a premier provider of integrated and innovative software, data and analytics to the mortgage and real estate industries, but our focus extends beyond business. Our Black Knight family is deeply committed to philanthropy, civic engagement and finding ways to make lasting impacts on the communities where we live and work.

We Are Committed to Our Communities

Since going into business more than 60 years ago, we’ve made it part of our mission to find positive, creative and exciting ways to give back to these communities — no matter how large or small the initiative.

These efforts are coordinated through Black Knight Cares, our company’s charitable giving program. Through Black Knight Cares, we identify and assist organizations and events that fall into one or more “giving categories” including:

Children/childhood development

Low income/housing-related causes

Health-related issues

Military support

Beyond these core focus areas, our employees across the country dedicate their time and resources — with support from Black Knight — to give back to causes they are passionate about helping.

We are improving the lives of Youth in Need

Black Knight has had the honor of participating in the Children’s Christmas Party of Jacksonville for several years, and we continued this tradition in 2019. This annual event supports local children in need during the holiday season by giving them the opportunity to have their pictures taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus, meet their favorite action heroes/heroines and movie characters, and pick out new toys donated by generous members of the community.

In addition to toy donations, Black Knight employees volunteered their time to set up and decorate the venue — so children were greeted by a winter wonderland upon entering. Our team members also volunteered throughout the day to help kids find their perfect toy and make their holiday season a little brighter.

The 2019 event provided approximately 16,000 toys to 4,000 children. The remaining toys were donated to the local chapter of Toys for Tots to help even more families in need provide a better Christmas for their kids.

Black Knight understands the importance of events like the Children’s Christmas Party, and we are proud to support the following organizations in 2019 that provide youth development services or support.

In 2019, employees at our Aurora and Golden, Colorado, offices dedicated their time and resources to Brothers Redevelopment and Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver.

Brothers Redevelopment provides affordable housing solutions for low-income, elderly and disabled Colorado residents. In June, a team of Black Knight employees worked with thee non-profit organization to help a local homeowner in need purchase the supplies to repair the home. They also took a day of volunteer service to roll up their sleeves and help with the renovations.

The following month, employees from these offices helped build a home for the Habitat for Humanity of Metro Denver — an organization dedicated to building affordable homes for those in need.

During 2019, Black Knight provided time and donations to the following organizations focused on providing safe housing to those in need.

We Are Advocates of Healthy Living

Giving back to our communities is an important part of Black Knight’s culture and values, and we extend that emphasis beyond our employees — instilling the significance of community service in our interns.

In addition to professional learning and career development, our summer interns had the opportunity to give back by volunteering with Ronald McDonald Home Charities of Jacksonville. This charity provides housing, meals, transportation and support to family members as they seek healthcare for their child — allowing them to stay close together.

Our interns prepared meals for families, and coordinated with staff to clean and organize the center’s pantries. This experience helped a vital community resource, and demonstrated tofuture college graduates that their actions outside the office are just as important as those inside.

Whether it was volunteering, running in charity races, participating in charity walks or donating to the many health-related organizations in our communities, Black Knight supported the health and wellness-focused organizations below.

We Are Committed to Assisting Veterans and Their Families

Our commitment to our military includes an extensive veterans’ outreach program that emphasizes hiring former service members, assisting the transition from the battlefield to the corporate workforce, and identifying their unique, highly specialized skills to utilize in rewarding positions.

Black Knight is also proud to be one of the corporate sponsors that covers all administrative costs for The Folded Flag Foundation. This partnership allows 100% of donations made to the organization to go directly to the families it supports to help fund their education and training needs.

We Are Knights in Our Communities

Black Knight is a proud supporter of the many mothers and fathers we employ, and the well being of their families. That’s why we put on our walking shoes in 2019, in support of the March of Dimes’ March for Babies.

This event helps raise money for research, education, resources and advocacy for the healthcare of mothers and their babies. March of Dimes works with mothers, healthcare professionals, researchers and political advocates to help families prepare for the unexpected and to find solutions to the health threats moms and newborns face.

Our Team Black Knight raised funds for the charity, participated in the annual march and helped bring awareness to the situations new mothers face each day.

In addition to our core support areas, Black Knight and its employees spent 2019 supporting a diverse range of charitable events, non-profit organizations, causes and cultural foundations.
