JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Dec. 17, 2021 – Today, Black Knight, Inc. (NYSE:BKI) announced that David Seong, its Chief Technology Officer for Surefire under Black Knight’s Origination Technologies division, was selected by HousingWire (HW) Magazine as a 2021 Tech Trendsetter. Seong oversees the Black Knight Surefire technology, one of the mortgage industry’s most widely used customer relationship management (CRM) and marketing automation software solutions. The third annual HW Tech Trendsetters awards program honors 50 of the most impactful technology leaders whose products and services drive innovation in the housing economy.

“We appreciate HousingWire’s recognition for David’s many accomplishments over the years,” said Rich Gagliano, president, Black Knight Origination Technologies. “David has devoted his career to using technology to help drive the mortgage industry forward and facilitate a faster, more communicative loan process.”

In his 11 years with Surefire, Seong has overseen the development of the platform’s groundbreaking technology, cementing innumerable innovative “firsts” that have helped its users attain exceptional return on investment. In the past year alone, Seong oversaw the issue of more than 100 feature- enhancing software releases, spearheaded integrations with three new product pricing engines and five loan origination systems, led the development of a portal for agents and brokers and helped create solutions for depositories, wholesale and consumer direct mortgage lenders.

“It is an incredible honor to have earned a place among the top trailblazers in the mortgage industry,” said Seong. “I owe this achievement in part to Surefire, a bold company that fosters a culture of innovation, which is also one of the guiding principles of Black Knight. Working with Surefire these past 11 years has given me countless opportunities to create industry-leading digital solutions that help clients reach their full potential.”

“These leaders are in the driver’s seat and charting the path toward a more efficient digital future for mortgage and real estate,” said Clayton Collins, CEO of HW Media. “Technology is the key differentiator that is empowering the most adaptive organizations to harness the velocity of the current housing boom to win market share for the long haul.”

The HW Tech Trendsetters cohort are peer-nominated and selected by HousingWire’s editorial board based on their accomplishments over the last 12 months.
