Jacksonville, Fla.
Founded in 1962, Black Knight has called Jacksonville, Florida, “home” since our earliest days as Computing and Statistical Services. Over the years, Black Knight has grown to become a premier provider of integrated and innovative technology, data and analytics solutions to the mortgage and real estate industry, serving many of the nation’s largest financial institutions. Through our company’s evolution – and expansion to campuses across the United States and India – our commitment to the communities where we live and work has remained strong.
Incorporating the Knight into our company identity is a fitting tribute to Black Knight’s heart of service. Medieval knights were chosen for their valor, honor and devotion to serve and protect. Knights upheld the highest moral standards and vowed to be champions for doing what was right.
Black Knight has adopted corporate values that reflect the standards used to guide the actions of these knights. These values now guide all that we do in business and in our communities.
Throughout 2017, we worked together to help non-profits in our communities make children’s lives brighter, healthier and more fulfilling.
Each year, Jacksonville-based Knights get together to raise money for the Children’s Christmas Party of Jacksonville, which helps provide a brighter holiday for local children who might otherwise not receive gifts during the holiday season. However, our Knights don’t just stop at donating – they volunteer their time as well, helping to make the venue festive with holiday decorations and handing out toys to the delight of thousands of happy children.
The foundation of thriving communities begins with the health and wellness of its citizens. Together, we help encourage healthier neighborhoods by lacing up our running shoes for charity 5Ks, donating to fund cutting-edge research and advocacy, and volunteering our time and talents.
Knights based in our Colorado offices in Aurora and Golden have adopted local charity Brent’s Place as a cause close to their hearts and a vital part of their campus culture. Brent’s Place is a special home away from home for children receiving cancer treatment at nearby hospitals. To support Brent’s Place, Aurora-based teammates prepare and serve meals to resident families, participate on the executive leadership committee, provide holiday gifts to families, plan fundraisers, ride in a 160-mile bike ride to raise money and awareness, and more. In 2017, our employees volunteered more than 350 hours supporting this wonderful cause.
The foundation of creating and cultivating better communities is ensuring everyone has a place to call home. Providing housing assistance is one of our most cherished corporate giving traditions.
Our employees based in Mendota Heights, Minnesota, have taken this call to action to heart, and are proud to support Spare Key, a nonprofit that provides housing assistance to Minnesota families with critically ill or seriously injured children. By ensuring that these families are able to stay in their homes, Spare Key allows them to be fully present during their child’s treatment and recovery.
At Black Knight, we are immensely proud of our corporate support for members of the U.S. military.
Black Knight’s Human Resources department oversees veteran outreach programs, focusing on hiring former military members, helping them transition into the workforce upon their return home and utilizing their valuable skills and experience to better our operations.
Black Knight is also proud to support The Folded Flag Foundation as one of the nonprofit organization’s two corporate sponsors, which cover all of Folded Flag’s administrative costs. As a result, 100 percent of donations given to the foundation goes directly to the qualifying families in need.
The Folded Flag Foundation provides grants and scholarships to spouses and children of members of the United States military and government who have lost their lives as a result of hostile action.
Black Knight was a sponsor for The Folded Flag’s inaugural Salute to Service Gala, held on Veterans Day 2017 in Las Vegas. The gala raised more than $775,000 for the foundation’s Gold Star Families, as well as other Vegas-based military charities.
Enriching the areas where we live and work can involve investing in the arts, preserving safety, supporting the development of minorities and other facets of our community. Donating our time, talent and funds to these types of worthwhile causes plants seeds of progress and hope that we believe will grow and thrive over time.
Our Chief Human Resources Officer, Melissa Circelli, is an active board member for the Jacksonville Women’s Leadership Forum (JWLF), which connects female leaders across all industries and helps provide them with the tools and networks they need to succeed. Each year, Black Knight is proud to support this annual event. In 2017, women from across Northeast Florida – including many Black Knight employees – gathered to discuss how to achieve success personally and professionally.
